Terms of use
Last updated 7 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Boxie, the storage planner on this website. Boxie is for personal, non-commercial use only. By using Boxie you agree to these terms; if you don't, please don't use it.
1.What Boxie is
Boxie is a free planner for Gridfinity storage that runs in your browser. It helps you lay out boxes in a drawer, adjust them and download STL files to print. Gridfinity is an open standard created by Zack Freedman; Boxie is an independent project and isn't affiliated with him.
2.Personal, non-commercial use only
Boxie and everything you get from it are for personal, non-commercial use only. Any commercial use of Boxie or of the models listed on it is strictly prohibited. This includes selling or licensing STL files made with Boxie or models from its catalog; selling prints of them, on their own or as part of another product; offering Boxie, its files or its prints as part of a paid service; and copying the catalog or the service. If you'd like to use Boxie commercially, ask us in writing first at [email protected].
3.Your account
The planner works without an account. If you create one, use a real email address, keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You're responsible for what happens in it.
4.Your drawers and files
The drawers you plan are yours. You may print the STL files Boxie makes, use the prints yourself and share the files or your drawer with others for free, as long as it stays non-commercial. Models in the catalog belong to their authors and may carry their own licences on top of these terms.
5.Fair use
Don't try to break or overload the service, get around its limits, reach other people's accounts or data, or use Boxie for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
6.Printing is up to you
Boxie makes files to the Gridfinity specification, but printers, materials and slicer settings differ. Check the files and print a test piece before printing a whole drawer. We're not responsible for failed prints, used material or anything kept in your boxes.
7.No guarantees
Boxie is free and provided “as is”, without warranties. It may change, contain errors or be unavailable at times, and features may come and go. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.
8.Stopping
You can stop using Boxie at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy). We may close the service, or an account that breaks these terms; we'll try to warn you first so you can download your files.
9.Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we'll tell signed-in users about significant changes. Using Boxie after a change means you accept the new terms.
