Plan your drawers, box by box.
Boxie is a free planner and generator: enter your drawer's size, draw boxes on the grid and download STL files to 3D print.
Why Boxie
Gridfinity is a great system, but planning a drawer in your head isn't. Boxie shows you the whole drawer before you print a single box.
See it before you print
Draw, turn and try boxes on a virtual grid until your drawer is just right.

Support BoxieQuestions about Gridfinity and Boxie
What is Gridfinity?
Gridfinity is an open, modular storage system by Zack Freedman: 3D-printed bins on a 42 mm grid that stand on a matching baseplate, so any box fits next to any other.
Is Boxie a Gridfinity generator?
Yes, and a planner too. Boxie generates bins and baseplates to the Gridfinity spec and exports them as STL files, but it starts from your drawer, so you see the whole layout before you print.
Is Boxie free?
Completely. Every feature and every download is free, with no ads. If Boxie helps, you can leave a tip on Ko-fi.
How big is a Gridfinity unit?
One cell is 42 × 42 mm and one height unit is 7 mm. Boxes are 0.5 mm smaller than their cells, so they drop in easily.
Can I print a baseplate bigger than my printer?
Yes. Boxie splits the baseplate into pieces of up to 5 × 5 cells (210 mm) and adds clips that join them, so a plate for a whole drawer prints on an ordinary bed.
Do I need an account?
No. The planner works without one and keeps your drawer in the browser. An account saves your drawers so you can open them on any device.
Which printers and slicers does it work with?
Any. The files are standard binary STL in millimetres, watertight and lying flat, ready for PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer or Cura.
Which magnets does Gridfinity use?
Round 5 × 2 mm magnets (5 mm across, 2 mm thick), four per cell. The holes are a little bigger, 6.5 mm, to make up for printing tolerances. Turn on magnet holes for a box or the baseplate and Boxie counts how many you need.
